Republicans Obsessing on Americans’ Stomachs

It’s not just Cheney accusing Americans of not having the stomach to fight in Iraq. There’s retread Dennis Miller on O’Reilly’s show:
MILLER: They all seemed to be looking down at their BlackBerries. It at least appeared that way. Everybody was looking down.
There was a lot of odd things that happened in the room.
But the overall vibe I found very disheartening in that on the same day we’ve got this madman, “Aqua Velvajad” in Iran, saying that the demise of America and Israel is imminent, we’ve got half the people in the chamber won’t stand for the commander-in-chief when he talks about the war of our lifetime. I don’t know what’s going on back there…
O’REILLY: They don’t believe it.
MILLER: Maybe Bin Laden had it right that we don’t have the stomach for this because if it’s not obvious to everybody that it’s time to circle the hybrids, I don’t know what it is.
Republicans shouldn’t be worried about Americans’ stomachs. They should be much more concerned about our brains. Why don’t people believe when the Commander in Chief says this is the war of our lifetime? Maybe because they remember his amazing track record for being wrong.
Maybe Dennis Miller prefers governance by gut, but November showed that most Americans prefer a more cognitive approach.

I’ll buy Miller’s bullshit when he joins up in the fight instead of flinging bullshit from the safety of O’Reilly’s Fox studio. He’s too old to enlist, but Blackwater might take him. Let him join up or let him shut the fuck up. Another gutless piece of shit who is screaming for war. He’s all mouth and no nuts.

“The War of Our Lifetime” sounds suspiciously
like a Super Bowl promo tagline.
Miller is an unfunny and pathetic ignoramus.
But then again, so is O’Reilly.
Why don’t people believe when the Commander in Chief says this is the war of our lifetime?
Presumably they are not aware of the elite Iraqi battalions equipped with water-wings and maps showing how to swim the Indian and Pacific oceans…
