Run, Al, Run!

Al Franken, that is.
Al Franken, the best-known host of the liberal network, will announce his expected departure on his show later today, to explore a run for the U.S. Senate from Minnesota.
Why not? If Jesse Ventura can beat Norm Coleman, then surely Al Franken can.

It would be great to see him run then the press, if they had the balls, could ask him about the illegal loan that Air America got from the Gloria Wise Boys and Girls Club. In the end a couple of the club directors had to plead guilty to several criminal charges. The money, a total of about $850K was never repaid the club which served the Bronx for decades was forced to close, despite Air America over a year before going bankrupt agreeing to repay the money. Evidence points to Frankin knowing about the money and rather than repay the kids first he demanded is inflated salary upfront.
I just hope the press does it’s job.
John, where do you find your esoteric info?
Who are you paraphrasing?
And how come you never address more significant
issues, such as the Bushco destruction of the
US Constitution?
The info’s not so esoteric you just have to read sites outside of one view point. On the Franken issue you can find all the information at radioequalizer.blogspot.com
As for the larger issues, that’s in part why I come here is to learn about them but sometimes I feel the need to say something to balance out the discussion.
John,
Franken was not the owner of Air America, just an employee.
Should we lock up all of the Enron employees?
Granted Franken is not the owner but all the reports I’ve read say that he did know at some point about illegal loans.
Plus it would be interesting to just hear him speak as to why when Air America was laying off staff Franken signed a new contract and demanded his exorbitant salary upfront? Shows great care for the working man, he should fit right in with the culture of corruption.
