“This is the fastest growing refugee crisis in the world”

I don’t hear this question being asked enough by the news media, and it’s the time to be asking it of people like Joe Lieberman and John McCain and Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden and anyone else in the Congress:
That’s right - right now. In 2006, the United States accepted 202 Iraqis out of its 70,000 refugee slots worldwide? How can anyone in America actually think that is responsible?
News media needs to ask until we get some answers that have some definition. Ask Colin Powell of “you break it, you own it” fame. Find and publicize quickly some consensus on responsibility, and get citizen review of that consensus. This story deserves focus. Ted Kennedy knows this. Refugees International knows this. The United Nations knows. It’s time that Americans know.

I’ve been thinking that Crawford, TX would be an ideal location for an Iraqi refugee camp. Cindy Sheehan lives there now, maybe she could set something up. And I’m sure W would enjoy the proximity of so many individuals who owe their liberty to his efforts.
But how do we know that they aren’t terrorists?
Or potential members of the Democrat party?
“Or” ?
Hey, we gave them freedom and purple thumbs in their own country.
Why would they want to leave?
