Lie lie lie lie liar you lie
Lie lie lie lie lie tell me why
Tell me why why d’you have to lie

Should’ve realised you know what I’ll doYou’re in suspension you’re a liar
Well well well, looky looky! John Conyers and his colleagues in the Judiciary Committee don’t seem all that interested in “private conversations that aren’t under oath” after all. Any guesses as to how this is going to play out tomorrow under Leahy’s watch? With all that new information about 18 missing pages in the Justice Department’s document dump?
Now I wanna know know I wanna known why
You never look me in the face
Broke a confidence just to please your ego
Should’ve realised you know what I know
For the past 6 years, the Bush Administration has been used to a Rubber Stamp Congress that worked about 3 days a week, and like a Yugo, they’re having a little trouble getting up to speed. The problem for BushCo is that by and large, the Democrats (and a growing number of Republicans) don’t trust them anymore: that much is evident after seeing the 94-2 vote in favor of restoring the original rules regarding the appointment of prosecutors. My senior Senator has been publicly played for a fool by Alberto Gonzalez, who lied to his face twice: once about the prosecutors and once about the FBI abuse of National Security Letters (whether Specter actually played along and is trying to save face is a matter of speculation).
And that’s on top of everything else: the Iraq debacle and the lies surrounding the basis for war; the Plame exposure; Libby’s obstruction conviction; Hurricane Katrina; the fraudulent Medicare Part D cost estimates. On and on and on.
I know where you go everybody you know
I know everything that you do or say
So when you tell lies I always be in your way
Im nobodys fool and I know all cos I know
What I know
Frogmarch them in, and extract the whole sordid story, with pliers if need be, under oath and in public. The President has finally lost his own party, and has admitted publicly at 5:45 PM 3/20/07 that his administration can’t be trusted to provide accurate information about the firings, which (like everything else that comes out of this Adminsitration) were “confusing” and “incomplete.”
Impeach the whole lot.

Yes, letters to congresscritters please! Investigations first, to build the case and build the popular support. Then, one at a time, the whole lot need to face a trial. I would prefer that the courts get involved, but right now the only place for such a trial is before the Senate in their removal from office. Despite Gonzales’ bid to be the first to face this fate, the House should start with Cheney. Nobody is going to remove Bush from the Oval Office if it puts Cheney in charge, even for a few moments.
that’s why we gotta get cheney first.
Get out the torches and pitchforks, folks!
