Not sure what he'd be trying to do, beat Strom Thurmond's record? But either politically or medically, it requires a level of optimism that borders on delusional. I wonder what Bush has on Specter to keep him in line; he's not much of a 'team player', and committee chairmanship isn't on offer any more.
