Until I read this, I didn’t even know it was in dispute that aluminum bats were more dangerous. Apparently not:
NEW YORK (AP) — Mayor Michael Bloomberg said Monday he’ll veto a bill to ban metal bats from high school baseball in the nation’s largest school system, a change that supporters say would make the game slower and safer.
“I don’t know whether aluminum bats are more dangerous or less dangerous,” Bloomberg said. “But I don’t think it’s the city’s business to regulate that.”
Well, I disagree. If metal bats are more dangerous, why shouldn’t the city regulate them? If nothing else, it should get them a discount on their liability insurance.

Off topic-
There is a great post on The Carpetbagger Report from a couple of days ago about the mainstream media’s (specifically Time magazine’s) ignoring the prosecutor purge scandal.
http://www.thecarpetbaggerreport.com/archives/10367.html
What explains the failure of the mainstream media to cover the purge scandal for so long, and so many other scandals? Do you think somebody just set up newspaper editors to cheat on their wives, and threatened to tell if the editors wouldn’t play ball when they come back some day and ask for something?
It wouldn’t be that hard to do, when you think about it. People wouldn’t talk about it.
Also check out a new post on my blog.

This is the third time you’ve posted this, and again it’s unrelated to the topic. Please don’t do it again.
He/She/It really likes that post. I’ve seen the same link with the same basic text show up all over the place (here and here for example). Perhaps we should introduce swan to the robot that keeps posting stuff from unpartisan.com. They’d make a lovely couple.
Delete blog whores. It’s that simple.
Bloomberg is, of course, an idiot.
There is no truth to the rumor that Bloomberg
is having affairs with all three of Rudy’s
wives and ex-wives.
No truth whatsoever.
