Talkin’ Local Government Web Site…

Since so many commenters are from the Philadelphia area, here’s a question about the City’s website: How useful is it to you? Do you use it for transactions or news? When was the last time you used it?
And for those that are not in the Philly area - do you use your locality’s web site?

Yes, I do. We’re a small city without a lot of resources and the website isn’t extensive, but it gives me hours that offices are open, the names and phone numbers of the people to talk to and stuff.
In San Jose I use the city and county websites for
real-estate info (we’re in a situation where we’ll
either have to buy the house we’re presently renting,
or move to another rental, or purchase some other house.)
I also use the public library’s web site intensively.
Philly has a website?
I do occasionlly use the website from my area of the ‘burbs, but they rarely have what I want to know.
I live in a State with fewer people than Philly has. I think my town has more deer than people. They did finally computerized some functions there, but a web site? Not so much.
I’ve used our townships site once to look the rules for putting a new fence in, but other than that there’s not much there.
The London mayorality website is very good, the one for my council (Bromley) is less good but then it is run by the Tories. The Transport for London website is excellent even if the train service is not!
