Are we willing to pay the price?
Yesterday I had lunch at a cute little place on the Main Line. The place was filled with rich, pampered women, and every last one of the cars in the parking lot was a big, honkin’ SUV. Like, the V-8 models.
Yet my friend tells me the anti-war movement is very active in her area and made up mostly of women. Why can’t people connect those dots? Is it because their kids are so unlikely to go to Iraq? Is it that they can easily afford $3.30 a gallon for gas?
I don’t get it.
