As for your assertion that Philadelphia's revenue shouldn't just stay in Philly, that completely contradicts your point about representation. basically, you guys from the sticks want to starve Philadelphia of the resources necessary for the city to run effectively, including public transport, but you want us to give our revenue to the state so they can fix YOUR roads. Alot of the cities problem is that it has had over 100 years of one party rule first 50 or so republican and the last 50 or so of democratic. The only thing that has done is lead to a government that is disfunctional. I'm not suggesting that electing republicans in the city is the answer but city hall does need to be cleaned up. The fact is, if Philadelphia 's transit was properly funded, it would have more riders and generate more revenue for the state of Pennsylvania. Even enough for John to go back to high school and get his diploma. So by John’s logic, Philadelphia’s revenue should only go to philadelphia.

Maybe if Philadelphia had a working government instead of the clown academy currently in place the rest of the state would be willing to work with it.
