Crazy Man at the Wheel

Georgie Anne Geyer in the Dallas Morning News with some maybe not so good news that ought to be the topic of the national media:
But by all reports, President Bush is more convinced than ever of his righteousness.
Friends of his from Texas were shocked recently to find him nearly wild-eyed, thumping himself on the chest three times while he repeated “I am the president!” He also made it clear he was setting Iraq up so his successor could not get out of “our country’s destiny.”

Yes, Bush is an out-of-control, crazy drunk, thumping his chest and braying at everyone who stops by to look in on him in his bubble. “Crazy Man At The Wheel”? Indeed. Kind of reminds me of the line from Steely Dan’s “Deacon Blues”:
I’ll play just what I feel
Drink Scotch whiskey all night long
And die behind the wheel
Only thing is, when he eventually does drive the car off the cliff, the rest of us on Planet Earth are going to be going along for the ride. I have a terrible feeling this is not going to turn out well.
I’m always disapointed when I miss a scene like this one. No YouTube video?
Has he dropped the yellow dye marker yet? I can picture him on the stand in the Hague with a couple of ball bearings in one hand…
