I think Lugar really IS done and has been for sometime now. OTOH, that makes him a pretty safe bet to float the trial balloon, allowing the rest of the GOP to do their "high dudgeon" imitation and harrumph a lot. As long as it topples El Bush, I'm happy, although I'd prefer it came from Democrats. I still think the GOP will end the war, taking the issue out of the 2008 campaign. Yes and no perhaps?
