I believe this is a rude and uncouth question even to think, much less ask — but it needs to be asked anyway:
Where the HELL was Sandra Day O’Connor on this question BEFORE she had a family member who would be affected by it, BEFORE she began to worry about how much paying for the health care her grand-child will have to get, without insurance, could cost her, personally? Where was she when so far as she knew it was *merely* an issue of common humanity?
I wonder if O’Connor’s son ever reproaches her about vote. If we had Gore, her grandchild would probably have healthcare. Ah karma, you always hit the innocent bystanders.
