We Can’t Trust Any Of Them

You know, the members of the Beltway Village who are all so cozy when it come to money and power:
The idea of granting blanket retroactive amnesty for private companies and high government officials who repeatedly broke the law in how they spied on Americans is the stuff of tin-pot third-world dictatorships. It is so corrupt and reprehensible that it ought to be beyond the ken of what could even be considered. But with an indescribably (and increasingly) accommodating Democratic Congress, along with Democratic power brokers like Gorelick working in tandem with telecoms and their Republican lobbyists to bring about such legislation, its passage — as both the NYT and Newsweek are reporting — is close to guaranteed.
I strongly urge you to make a donation to MoveOn. It’s time to let these Beltway bastards know just how we feel about the congressional-corporate complex.

oh yeah.
I gave $25 to moveon the day they voted on that piece of fucktardery in the senate, then called many of the beneficiaries of moveon’s efforts and promised them that they will receive no more support from me, and probably no more from MoveOn. That includes Blob Casey.
As bowers mentioned to me the same night, the one good thing about this is that MoveOn now knows which races to target, which democrats are truly allies, and who not to waste our money on anymore.
