Republican John Cole, writing on Balloon Juice about the attacks on the Frost family:
I simply can not believe this is what the Republican party has become. I just can’t. It just makes me sick to think all those years of supporting this party, and this is what it has become. Even if you don’t like the S-Chip expansion, it is hard to deny what Republicans are- a bunch of bitter, nasty, petty, snarling, sneering, vicious thugs, peering through people’s windows so they can make fun of their misfortune.
I’m registering Independent tomorrow.
While I’m glad he finally got to this point, I’m wondering why he’s so surprised. Joe Gandelman, on the other hand, doesn’t sound quite as shocked.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: The right wing just makes shit up. They will willingly bend almost anything into the appropriate pretzel shape if it will serve their purposes, truth be damned.
UPDATE: David Neiwert sums it up nicely. And of course you will be surprised to know it appears a staffer in the Senate Minority Leader’s office may have orchestrated the whole thing!
