My friend’s 25-year-old son was hospitalized over the weekend with MRSA - methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. He scraped his elbow playing basketball. One of the other players had it and apparently rubbed up against the scrape, passing it along. She said it was really scary.
Fortunately for him, his mother is still paying for his health insurance (his job doesn’t provide it). But what if she didn’t?
