Why is polysilicon so costly?
Silicon is the most plentiful solid element on earth, isn't it?

Now if any of all of our so called leaders really wanted to help this country be if not independent at least a lot less dependent on carbon sources they would do one thing. Make a program to place these cells on every roof possible in the country.

Just imagine the savings, granted only during daylight hours, of many houses not only not drawing power from the grid but actually providing power to the grid. It is a great interim step while research can be done for a permanent day and night solution.

Are any of the local blogs writing about Michael Nutter? I'd go look but I've become unbelievably lazy lately. Am I the only one I know who's glad Al Gore won't run and don't blame him for not wanting to step back into the shitpile of American politics? How's Maureen Dowd been lately? Has she strapped on her dildo yet for anyone in the current Democratic lineup? What can we do to crush completely the DLC? Yes, we'd lose Hillary in the process but, ... oh well ...

These are my musings as I decide whether to go take a nap or stay up and take a nap later. Life is tough.

Who's going to come up with the lead for all the batteries and copper for all the wiring? The Chinese? Sir Richard Branson?

Probably better off making steam by burning corn.
