I’ve been saying for years that water will be a huge problem and now we’re seeing the results of unbridled growth and, unfortunately, most people still don’t see the looming water shortage problem!

SF writer (and winger) Jerry Pournelle speculated that 21st century LA would get its water by hunting icebergs in the arctic and towing them down. Best get some engineers working on it. If not that, we might be stuck with Lyndon LaRouche’s nuclear-powered desalination plants.
Beer is better anyway.
I guess you haven’t heard - there’s a hops shortage, and so beers are going up, too.
That would be an interesting idea if we had any icebergs left.
