Cool song! I doesn’t seem like so much of an anti-war song as much as it is a song about what a drag war is and the human disdain for what’s involved with war. Sometimes you gotta do whatcha gotta do even though no one likes it! Thank you soldiers!! You are amazing people and we’re sorry!
Terribly interesting coincidence. Jefferson Pepper wrote a song called “Christmas in Fallujah” three years ago. Like Joel’s song, it’s also an anti-war ballad from the perspective of the soldier.
