All military officers are sworn to defend and support the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. We are now firmly stuck in an era where there are plenty of domestic enemies of the Constitution. I’m sure the neocons would rather run to their moms’ basements rather than go to jail.

Officers’ oath:
“I (insert name), having been appointed a (insert rank) in the U.S. Army under the conditions indicated in this document, do accept such appointment and do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter, so help me God.”
