This Is Really Important

A particularly unpleasant lunch time listening experience involving Brad Mehldau and the tune “Still Crazy After All These Years” gave me the idea that the Constitution really ought to be amended to prevent Jazz pianists from playing Paul Simon songs. Not that I have anything against Jazz pianists and, in fact, I adore Brad Mehldau. I don’t even really hate Paul Simon all that much, but really, as a nation we need to have some type of recourse against these sorts of travesties.
Since the Fourth Amendment has been rendered effectively null and void and the Tenth Amendment never gained gained traction after the repeated muggings it suffered at the hands of the commerce clause, couldn’t we use a little filler? Something for the kids? That way, when the NSA is listening in without a warrant, nobody will have to listen to the Jazz stylings of Johny Gentle as he tinkles out “Hearts and Bones.” That would be a good thing.
Use this space to discuss kittens.

I love me some kittens.
I love me some “Hearts and Bones.”
Hardly the earnest discussion of kittens I was expecting.

Best ever!!!!!!
Madmatt, you’re all wrong. You’ve confused a turkey for a kitten. I can understand how you might make that mistake, but please try not to do it again.
As Brodie and T.S. approach Jay and Silent Bob outside the pet store, Brodie notices that they’re looking at kittens.
“Probably picking out which one they’d like to bury up to its neck and then run over with a lawn mower,” he says.
