I thought the deal with California and it's wanking high Autism rates was that people on the autism spectrum were drawn to computer tech type jobs, and drawn to Silicon valley, where they interbred, and all that crap. I'm also thinking the unchanging weather might be a draw for a lot of Spectrum People.
Never fucking mind.
"For their study, California public health officials calculated the autism rate by analyzing a database of state-funded centers that care for people with autism and other developmental disorders. They found the prevalence of autism in children ages 3 to 12 increased throughout the study period.
For example, 0.3 per 1,000 children born in 1993 had autism at age 3, compared with 1.3 per 1,000 children born in 2003. Similar trends were found in other age groups."
Autism was still the great unknown in 1993. If this statistical analysis is this simplistic, it is null and void.
Figures don't lie, but fucking assholes do.
I am so not getting this boddhisatva thing, am I?
