"No life would be possible but that would be all right because life would be excruciatingly boring." Physics with a sense of humor! What I am afraid of is that, one day, some genius is going to come up with some mathmatical proof that the universe can't exist at all, at which point it will all collapse back into a singularity. Whenever my wife asks me why am I still lying on the couch and haven't mowed the lawn yet, I reply that I am conserving the entropy of the universe. Don't want to die that slow heat death, you know.
