The first real snow of the year started around three p.m.
For dinner, I was going to make regular old chicken noodle soup from a dry mix, but decided to make it a little heartier. I cut up large pieces of leftover chicken and a couple of celery stalks. Then I tossed in some canned carrots, and the whole thing is cooking now. Yum!

Soups or stews; soul food when the snow flies. Hot toast with butter is servicable for fresh baked bread.
