Dems cave on the final stimulus package:
Pelosi, D-Calif., agreed to drop increases in food stamp and unemployment benefits during a Wednesday meeting in exchange for gaining the rebates of at least $300 for almost everyone earning a paycheck, including those who make too little to pay income taxes.

UPDATE: A Pelosi staffer just said this was what they had to do to get the Republicans to drop the permanent tax cuts and to get rebates into the hands of people who don’t make enough to pay taxes. Fair enough. He also said Pelosi has every intention of going back for more. I’ll just sit here and hold my breath.
