as a response to the Edwards’ house issue, some would say the Taj Mahal was overkill as a tribute to his love, but maybe he just had taste according to a different standard than the Edwards’. They didn’t hurt anybody to build it, and presumably paid good wages to their contractors… who’s to say it is better or worse than a poem, or piece of jewelry? I still remember one of the female anchors being insulted when Dr. Dean said that Howard bought her a rhododendron for their anniversary and that was lovely. How much disdain and “judginess” do we all exhibit when we decide how other folks should spend their money!
We have a political system that allows only the rich to run for high office.
So I guess then — by simple logic favored by the blow-dry, simpleton TV pundits — that only a poor person can be serious about the class divisions in America.
Someone should tell FDR, Bobby Kennedy, and John Edwards that they were all frauds. Simple logic. What b.s.
