Yes, and I’ll just sit here and hold my breath until it happens:
WASHINGTON — Democratic House leaders plan to force a vote as early as Thursday on holding Joshua B. Bolten, White House chief of staff, and Harriet E. Miers, former White House counsel, in contempt of Congress.
Senior Congressional officials said the House leadership had essentially decided to go ahead with the vote, which is expected to spark a fight with Republicans over what they see as a politically inspired inquiry.
The contempt citation, approved in July by the Judiciary Committee on a party-line vote, stems from the refusal of the two to testify before the panel in the investigation into whether several United States attorneys were dismissed for political reasons.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Democrat of California, would not confirm the pending vote on Tuesday night. “One of these days,” Ms. Pelosi said.
The administration has already said it would order the Justice Department not to pursue a contempt charge against either Mr. Bolten or Ms. Miers.

How will they get out of it this time? I don’t know enough about “games played in House of (non) Representatives” to speculate on this. Although now that I think of it, that line from Dogma, “Oh, shit! It’s the Pope!” would probably work as a duck-and-cover.
Impeach the prosecutor that doesn’t bring charges. Yeah, he was “ordered” by DOJ, but “just following orders” isn’t a defence.
Is this punishing the low-level USA’s for the sins of their bosses? Perhaps, but USA’s really do have a lot of discretion, so make ‘em sweat. Besides, impeachment isn’t punishment, it’s removing from office someone who WON’T DO THEIR FUCKING JOB!
That’s not to say that the rest shouldn’t be impeached as well, but you have to start somewhere. In fact, I think you could make a good case for a blanket impeachment of the *entire* Bush administration, which would tie up the Senate so that they couldn’t pass abominations like the FISA bill.
One of these days?
One of these days. Jesus.
