I saw the great music film tonight. Starring Glenn Hansard and Marketa Inglova, it’s about a street busker who meets and records an album with a young Czech woman. (Hansard was the guitar player in “The Commitments” and the lead singer in The Frames, a band many of the Irish consider better than U2.)
It captures the magic that can happen in the studio better than anything I’ve ever seen (and has me itching to record again). Lovely, moody tunes, reminded me of Damien Rice. I already ordered the soundtrack.
