Breathtaking Wingnuttery

In the neverending struggle to form a more perfect wingnut, certain written passages stand out as clear indicators that the form has achieved yet another breathtaking precipice. Gaze in awe at one of them.
No, Obama doesn’t plan to single out one group for mass extermination the way Hitler did the Jews. But he does have to have a scapegoat – as well as a means of financing his programs. Thus, he plans to further demonize, regulate, punish and tax both the most successful of American businesses as well as the most successful individuals, the high income taxpayers.
No, Obama doesn’t plan to launch a war against neighboring countries. But this apparent pacifism is only a superficial difference versus the militancy of the Nazis. Obama doesn’t have to launch a war against other countries – he has the world’s largest economy to loot to pay for his socialistic schemes. So Obama’s war will be an internal war – a war against America’s most productive individuals.
As Brad writes, it really is a wonder that they’ve managed to hold on to power for so long.

Who said that the “high income taxpayers” are necessarily “America’s most productive individuals”?
I mean really.
these people are under some weird conception that they produce something… What a concept. There isn’t a single word to describe this complete ignorance of language.
What makes that idiot think that there will be anything left to
steal after eight years of Bush Cronyism?
The same wingnuts that demonize “Socialized” medicine think that bailing out failed banks and hedge funds with our tax money is
“the right thing to do”.
Yes, it’s getting pathetic…..
What I take from ravings like this is another demonstration of the degree to which projection and paranoia are fundamental to the reactionary mindset. These people need a good therapist; their paranoia and aggressivity makes them dangerous to themselves and others. Their own thinking is based on authoritarian fantasies, demonization, conjuring fantastical enemies and fears, and otherwise getting their knickers in knots, and they thrive on projecting this dynamic onto their opponents so as to justify their own violence and hatred.
It’s true that at this point they’re sputtering and flailing. This kind of reactionary extremism never completely disappears, but hopefully we’re entering a down-cycle. It’s pathetic to see them trying to make a centrist look like a “danger” and playing “Nazi” and “Fascist” cards all the time, while what they’re selling is bargain-basement authoritarian claptrap and old-fashioned confusionism and lies. Goebbels would be delighted. If they’re not looking for “Commies” under the bed, it’s “Islamofacists” or gays or whatever pseudopod of their paranoia they can wave around to try and justify their own hatred and rabid powergrabs.
If the next administration institutes universal health care, hopefully it will cover therapy for these kinds of right-wing basketcases. Hopefully this kind of disorder is treatable.
Shorter version, quoted from a great comment on “Sadly, No!”:
“I’m about to go demonize a laundromat.”
That about sums it up.
Thanks for bringing this link to our attention. What an outrageous summary of rightwing spite rolled up into a single sentence: ” Obama doesn’t have to launch a war against other countries – he has the world’s largest economy to loot to pay for his socialistic schemes.”
Conflating fair taxes for the wealthy with the Holocaust is as bizarre as it is offensive.
If only. My big problem with Obama is that he is not socialist at all. 8-o
Pacifism=militancy and other oxymorons.
I thought it was the left wing that hated the ‘victim card’?
I am tired of these raging fruitcakes already and we haven’t even begun to crush their dreams.
