Speaking of blackouts

Evidence that the MSM’s ignoring John Edwards hurt his candidacy.
Blasting “companies shamelessly turning their backs on Americans” by shipping jobs overseas and railing that “it is wrong that somebody who makes $50 million on Wall Street pays a lower tax rate than somebody who makes $50,000 a year,” Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton increasingly sounds like one of her old Democratic rivals, former senator John Edwards of North Carolina.
She might be desperate, but you don’t think Clinton would adopt a tried-and-failed strategy, do you?
It wasn’t the message. It was the messengers.

Unfortunately, Edwards allowed himself to become a joke. He would have been my second choice, after Dodd (Jeez, can’t I pick ‘em?), but the hair thing did him in.
Not as a big a joke as Mitt “Empty Suit” Romney, but still a joke.
It’s okay for a candidate to seem stupid. Stupid can still get elected (just look at the present–oh, never mind.) But silly, that’s a killer.
