Uncivil War

And you thought the bickering HERE was intolerable!
Jose Ortiz, 28 — a Hillary Clinton supporter — is behind bars after stabbing his Barack Obama-supporting brother-in-law, Sean Shurelds, following a political argument, according to KYW1060.com.
“One is a supporter of Barack Obama, the other is a supporter of Hillary Clinton, and an argument of words turned bloody when one brother-in-law tried to choke the other and the victim then responded with a knife and stabbed his brother-in-law in the stomach,” Montgomery County, Pa., District Attorney Risa Furman said, according to KYW.
And in the name of further stirring the simmering pot of vitriol for fun: the Obama guy started it! Nyeah, nyeah!
But seriously - christalmighty, are we not all on the same side here?! The differences between them are really rather subtle for the most part. Want real change? Start a revolution. In the meantime, are we not all gonna be pretty sheepish and awkward after the convention - not unlike the dawning realization after screwing a coworker out of a promotion that you’re still going to have to work together to succeed?
If your answer isn’t yes, focus on the panda.

The level of vitiol has truly astonished me, especially since there’s about a thimbleful of difference between the positions of the two candidates. Or maybe that’s part of the problem … that so much of the argument comes down to personalities and minutiae. I don’t know … but I do know I don’t get it. I’ll take either one, by a country mile, over what’s offered by the opposing party.
And I don’t think any among us have a clear enough crystal ball to really know which one is more “electable”. My guess has been Obama, but who knows? Arguments of electability can be made for both, certainly. Go-Hill-Obama!
I would think you guys in America would want a change after all these years of Bushes and Clintons!
What if everything really is going exactly according to plan?
Susie and I once got into a knife fight during the 2006 PA Democratic primary for US Senate. Nothing too awful. I had a punctured spleen and had to have a few of my fingers sewn back on. She seemed to come out of it without a scratch. I’m fairly certain she was waiting until I’d finished my ninth or tenth beer of the evening before she came after me with the knife.
Focus on the panda?
OK — that panda looks an awful lot like the vice president, sneer and all.
If one of the parties was a die-hard Bush fan, I wouldn’t condone it, but could understand it after seven years of Bush’s horse shit, but this makes absolutely no sense. I figure that there had to be no love lost between them over other issues as well.
“Susie and I once got into a knife fight during the 2006 PA Democratic primary for US Senate … ”
Cue West Side Story soundtrack … da-da-dah, de-da-dah, de-da-dum-dee-da-dah …
I think the panda is disabled in some way. He should be put in a car and driven to the institute and then as the car drove off I could watch him waving from the back window.. byeyeey..
and I would be happy.
