Lutton was nice enough to go get some chicken noodle soup for me, and I managed to eat some - which meant I could finally take some ibuprofen for the fever. (He said he had the same thing a few weeks ago and says it takes three days before you can function again.)
There goes the weekend. Oh well.

try this one on for size:

Ah, sweetie, feel better soon.
This is my recipe for chicken soup and works well for healing those with colds.
2 chicken breasts with bone/skin
1/4 cup (or to taste) baby carrots sliced thin
celery seeds (to taste)
1/2 yellow onion diced (but not too small)
salt/white pepper to taste
1. bring approx. 8 cups water to boil (enough to cover chicken)
2. add all ingredients and simmer until skin falls off chicken with ease (usually 30-45 min - you know it is done when the chicken fat oil, from the skin, is floating on the surface, this oil is important for taste as well as healing properties).
3. Take the chicken out and peel chicken off bones, and shred into small pieces easy to eat, then place pieces back in the pot
4. serve with a smile knowing that you will will feel better very soon. I add lemon juice and sometimes rice to my individual bowl (not the soup pot).
Please try it Susie, it will make you feel better and even when you are sick, it is easy to make. Your friend, Bb
