In all my years in journalism, I’ve never seen anything quite as disgusting as this.
And I know some of you will snicker, because it “only” hurts Hillary Clinton.
And you would be wrong about that.
The enemy isn’t Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama. It’s the corporate media.
And if we let them get away with this, they will do even worse to whoever turns out to be our nominee. You can bet on that.

We’ll also soon hear about Hillary’s minute-by-minute movements in the White House on every single day that Bill and ___ hooked up, just as we learn that Obama might have been somewhere in a 100-mile vicinity when Reverend Wright farted, with tape to come (and be snipped down to make it suitably Hitlerian). It’s just absolutely disgusting, all of it. Meanwhile, our economy is tanking like the Titanic, the Iraq War drags on and on, we’re being spied on like East Germans, and 10% of the people in New Orleans are HOMELESS, while 1 out of every 2 Ohioans loses health care every day. But supposedly McCain is leading in both states, Louisiana and Ohio, because the media tells us over and over that despite his ignorance, his lies, his gaffes, his misstatements, his wild political swings and instability, he’s a WAR HERO and an HONORABLE MAN and a MAVERICK, as opposed to Bush III, so we ought to VOTE FOR HIM! It’s sickening, but just watch, if we remain silent, he’ll be foisted on us JUST LIKE GEORGE WALKER BUSH!

Yes, I do think that since what I saw with my own eyes on that day looked just like what I later saw on TV. Sure the TV said all kinds of stupid things but I fail to see where “black ops progaganda type broadcast” figured into it all. And I say that as someone who does think that various TV owners and players participate in and/or run black ops rather frequently on the nightly news.

ABC News really really sucks; I watch it every night, ’cause that’s what mom wants to watch. Charlie Gibson, and even Stephanopolis earlier today, complete shills. Gibson even pronounces liberal “librul” as if he’s barely able to mask his contempt (but then again, I know the man has had no great talent with language. He seemed to be just cutting his teeth at P. John Paul’s funeral, didn’t know at all the schoolboy latinate words. Must be a Baptist: yet one more Southerner set up to preach to us.)
A new low even for “The Path To 9/11 Network.” ABC News’ zeal to swift-boat the Clintons at every opportunity has finally extinguished the network’s last spark of journalistic integrity. Laughable and disgraceful at the same time.

Well, here’s one Obama supporter who fully agrees with Susie that this is the Authoritarian Buttkissing Corporation sunk to an all time panty-sniffing low. The perpetually raw deal the press has handed to Clinton doesn’t make her the best candidate for President. But it sure has been one long massive self-indictment by the media. And it should shame anyone who has ever picked up the poo of any of their titillated smears, rehashed non-scandal scandals, or misogynistic “analyses” of character, and flung it at this dedicated, charming, and inspirational woman in the heat of political emotion.

As for more tapes. If they’re from “former” associates, pastors, neighbors, high school teachers, etc. of Obama’s(or Hillary’s either for that matter) I don’t really care. Did anyone ever think that all the hue and cry for the Clintons to release their records would lead to anything but this? That there would be any purpose served except to feed this sort of media frenzy? It was totally predictable that, as soon as the documents became available, “reporters” would head for the Starr Report and start cross checking dates. The same thing will happen with the tax returns. By ceaselessly repeating the Republican meme that the Clintons must have something to hide because they’re so obviously sleazy, the Obama campaign wasn’t just hurting Clinton, they were damaging all Democrats, and they should have known better. It’s not as if the same tactics aren’t starting to be used against Obama. The more of this reflexive Democrat bashing the media gets away with, the more they are emboldened to continue. The road to a McCain presidency is paved with gotchas.

Well…what could we have expected? Journalism? WOW, what a concept. I support Senator Clinton, and I always get angry when I hear people who support Obama say “I LOATHE” her. I don’t LOATHE Obama, I LOATHE the media. My guess is that MANY of those who express the view the above poster did would discover differently if they were not dependent upon the LOATHSOME MEDIA for all their information. Or 11 year old records. They may not agree with her policies, or her campaign, but the PERSON is a quite interesting and a very intelligent (and funny as S***) woman. And all you can do now is gloat that a woman’s husband broke a private contract, in a country that forgives men for breaking that contract? This is what interests you? This is what motivates you? Why did you ever decide that journalism was your calling?

I like Obama, and just as I don’t blame him for what his pastor might say, I also try not to blame him for the ugliness of the minds and language of so many of his most vocal supporters. I think that may be why some people prefer to believe that the worst of the “Obama-supporter” postings are actually being logged by right-wing trouble-makers. It’s hard to believe that anyone who supports a man an inspirational as Obama could be so hateful.
