Sounds like Karl Rove, if you ask me. Weird way for a frontrunner to act, too.

yes, saying your opponent is dishonest was invented by karl rove.
actually, it’s the opposite of the rove strategy. rove is famous for advocating attacking your opponent on the issue that he/she is strongest. in this case, obama is trying to reinforce clinton’s existing perceived weakness.
Where’s the indignity? Where’s the uproar about “handing the Republicans the attack ads for the general election”?
Like I said: Weird way for a frontrunner to act - unless his internal polls are really bad and he’s not really the frontrunner.

well, it’s right here. the problem is that the longer this primary goes on, any criticism that they lob at each other has the potential of doing that.

except that he is the frontrunner, and there’s no plausible scenario left where he won’t be in the lead in both delegates and popular vote from now until the end. he has such a large lead even if he loses every remaining contest he will still be ahead.

How true! It’s like attacking Obama for being a good public speaker and for having a loyal following, both tactics used by Hillary’s campaign.
so we are now seeing you remind us that OB is a politician but then criticize him when he is a politician.
I see this as a fairly strong tactic on OB’s part for bringing up this “character gap” question. HRC and Gergen both justifiably are taking hits on their nafta spins and she def needs to take a hit for talking up mcrazypants exp in for policy when 3 times this week he completely fell flat on his face when talking for pol. The more she has to talk/defend her weak record the better for msm to actually take a hard look at the tax records when her majesty finally decides to let us see them.
OB using a rep/rovian tactic?? nah, not really. The big difference is OB’s points are based in reality not some effort to spook voters…
I notice you hit the comments the same time every day. Is that when your high school lets out?
haha - you made a funny, didn’t you!!?? juvenile really…
as a proud 20 year civil servant of the USA, my work network security prevents (rightly so) any and all posting comments to any internet sites. This site is one of very few that I can actually see from work - most blogs don’t get past the firewall. So I sit at work and, when not looking at passport info on special people, think up all the things I want to say when I get home to my personal computer.
So nice of you to treat your visitors so warmly!
Seig Heil!!!
Obama really is running an “It’s me or nobody” campaign, isn’t he?
“Character gap” … riiiight. Bush/Cheney have a character gap. Hillary’s just a politician like Obama, and who gives a rats ass about their “character”? Like we know these people? No. We just know their public images and their policy stances, and their voting records.
Obama’s going low here and it’s most unwelcome. He gives this stirring speech a few days ago, then comes out with this crap … way cool Barrack. Not. Arrrgggh.
going low? calling into question her comments about nafta she made in the Ohio primary and a comment about the positive experience of McCain after he makes an ass of himself is not low…
If here were to question her character based upon something she did before the primary - then I would agree that is was a slimey move - but he is calling her on comments she made very recently and using polls to ask a legitimate question of “trust”.
It’s as if OB can not campaign and ask questions without hrc and co complaining of being mean! hrc questions OB’s character due to something his pastor said but OB cannot question hrc’s character based on something SHE ACTUALLY SAID??? Yeah…you’re right, msm is too tough on her majesty…and OB is a low down dirty campaigner who probably has advisors who work for the GOP too!! oh,,,wait a minute…nevermind…
I have no problem with Obama busting Hillary on comments she makes about NAFTA or McCain if her comments warrant it. I do have a problem with citing some assinine poll about “character” as a reason not to vote for Hillary.
I say this as someone who leans toward Obama, as one who hopes to vote for him in the general election. But I’ll damn sure vote for Hillary instead if she’s the nominee. Eyes on the prize, folks.
hrc is no prize.
