And yes, even volunteering for a political campaign was eye-opening in a bad way. I do have to say, working for the last few years for a non-profit legal services agency I haven't seen a dark side to that. Maybe a disorganized side, but no one that I've worked with has shown any signs of dark motivations. It's been a really nice five years. But it was a professional photo lab, catering to advertising, and yeah, I was a woman there, too. I was just happier there than anywhere else. And I suppose we should talk some about chemical sensitivities, and exposure to enough formaldehyde that I won't need embalming (photography relies on organic chemistry, after all).
