i’m not being sarcastic, i just have no idea what the general public thinks about her outside the liberal wonkosphere. my impression is that she would be a disaster for the mccain ticket, but i’m coming from such a biased place i really have no idea whether my sense of things reflects anything other than what i want to be true.
upyernoz; Actually, no, Condi isn’t that popular. She would be untenable to the right because McCain already heads the ticket and movement conservatives are gagging at the thought of voting for him. McCain simply can not add another “centrist” (and that doesn’t mean I find him centrist - the right wing of the Republican Party does though) and expect any turnout from the right wing of his party. Look for him to appoint a true red-meat conservative.
