The medical field keeps trying to find uses for botox. In the 1990s several speech and neuroscience researchers thought botox might help people who stutter — something to do with paralyzing the vocal fold muscles. They weren’t very clear or detailed about what the mechanism was and what the theory behind using botox was. I was asked if I wanted to be part of a study. I politely declined — I didn’t think it was a good idea and didn’t want my vocal folds possibly damaged.

We live in a sick society. Jessica Simpson – a beautiful young woman – just had a nose job. How could she look in a mirror and not be happy with she sees? What chance do any of the rest of us have if she’s “not good enough”?
