If someone acts like an asshole in my living room they get the shit kicked out of them; commenters in my comments get invited outside with the admonishment that you don’t have to be a peace freak to be against war, and a graphic detail of just what without hesitation I would do. ‘Yawl are getting off easy.

‘Course, I get so few hits and comments that it’s so much more fun to disenvowel them. Though I do wish someone would write a script to automate the process.

Curiously, the most recent cases were Obama supporters because I had the audacity to say that I wasn’t a big fan of either Democratic candidate, but between the two left, I prefer Senator Clinton to Senator Obama. A pretty mild statement, but it brought the nastiest response.

I suggest you get a mirror for that living room of yours and use it once in a while.

for the record, i don’t know of a single clinton supporter who would support mccain and i resent the meme. i think it’s more likely that lots of first time voters who registered so they could vote for obama will just stay home in the GE putting everyone at risk. but hey, that’s just how i see it.

For instance, if your living room contains any children, I probably wouldn’t feel comfortable using some words I normally deploy when talking about the current Administration.

The rules instituted at various blogs I presume are put there to keep the waves of Obama surrogates that practice drive by fruitings from having comments swamped with talking points.

There certainly are enough blogs for Obama surrogates to congregate and heave dittos to each other. It’s shameful that sites that support Clinton, either unstiltingly or tepidly have to endure uninspired, regurgitated expressions that fail to convey a single original thought.

What does continue to shock the conscience of Clinton supporters is the deafness of tone as expressed by Obama supporters as if they are completely unconcerned that should Obama win the nomination, they will have played a large role in ensuring a lack of support from a significant portion of the Democratic party.

Haven’t you noticed so many of them suddenly instituting closed comments, registration requirements and ‘new’ (or newly enforced) rules governing what can and can not be said?

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that so many Clinton bloggers respond to criticsm and vitriol that way, while very few Obama bloggers have. It’s part of what made them willing to support Clinton in the first place. You don’t back a candidate that hates American popular culture without having a little disdain for the American people.
