I bet Matthews is hated about equally by both the left and the right. And not because he is any good at his job. He is smart but thinks he is brilliant and that makes him dumb.

I found your blog on the NYT “Blogrunner” while specifically looking to see if the Daily Howler would be linked. Why should I be surprised not to find it here? I have been a Daily Howler reader from it’s inception and no one does it better and the NYT does not have the courage, desire our circumspect to consider honest criticism of their increasingly dismal work. Dowd and Rich are excellent examples of that which they refuse to acknowledge.
