Spring is Sprung

It’s been pretty warm the past few days here (74 yesterday), which makes it too damned hot to sleep. I haven’t gotten around to putting my air conditioner in yet so, as much as I know from years of experience that I simply can’t sleep with the windows open, last night I… slept with the windows open.
Which was really dumb. Because now my sinuses are pounding from whichever stinkin’ pollen I’ve inhaled, and it will take another three hours of my morning (inhaling steam, using ice packs, swallowing ibuprofen) to get to the point where I can feel normal again.
See why I love nature?

Susie, you should know better!

Do you use a saline rinse? It’s not a cure, but it does help a little. Also, if you have health insurance (I know you’ve had lots of times when you didn’t) you could get an ENT guy to get you a CAT scan, see if your sinuses are messed up, and do a roto-rooter thing on them. I had it done a couple of years ago, and honestly it was the best medical procedure I’ve ever had. No colds nor sinus infections since.
In the meantime, arms around you, and pass the tissues.
