Bill Clinton made an on-the-record comment calling attention to a Republican dirty trick that plays on people’s legitimate economic fears.

Obama goes to a closed-to-media fundraiser and pontificates that lower-income people ignorantly react to economic insecurity by turning to unrelated behaviors he lumps together as character flaws - to the amusement of his extremely rich audience, some of whom are likely making that wealth from those poor economic conditions.
