Just Plain Dumb

It was hot in the living room last night, so I turned on the ceiling fan as I watched that dumbass excuse for a debate.
Have I mentioned it’s been a long time since I had a ceiling fan? Because if it hadn’t been so long, I would have remembered the First Law of Allergies: Clean the dust off the blades first.
I woke up this morning with the entire right side of my face swollen and I’m in severe pain. Argghhh….
UPDATE: Some steam inhalation, hot compresses, an ice pack, Mucinex, ibuprofen, nasal decongestant spray and a Sudafed later, the pain is finally gone. Such is a day in my life.

I live near Annapolis, MD but grew up in Chicago. I never had an allergy problem in my life until 1986, when I moved here. Within three months I was an allergy sufferer. And 22 years later I still forget to clean the fan blades before hitting the switch. Damn that’s a bad mistake to make.
