Sins of Omission

What is wrong with this picture?
“There is a lot of Clinton fatigue in the party and in the country today, and many people are reacting to that,” said Tom Daschle, a former Democratic leader in the Senate, who is supporting Mr. Obama.
Tom Daschle is the national co-chairman of the Obama campaign. After his reelection defeat, most of his senior staffers went to work for Obama and he has been, to say the least, quite active in helping put Obama’s campaign together.
Not to pick on Obama - this isn’t about that, it’s just something I noticed as I was reading the story. It’s about how the media is quick to leave out additional information that adds needed context to stories. They’re either lazy -or lapdogs.
Or both.

well Daschle’s staff needed a job after he lost, Daschle of course had no problems getting work as a lobbyist and he is free to work for any candidate he chooses.
If the author sets out to make a single point, the author never gets there because the author never gets to the point of why this super delegate switched from Hillary to Obama. In my mind, the events of the past 2 weeks, from Obama’s gaffe to a really poor showing in the debate to the decidedly negative bent the Obama campaign has recently taken will clearly staunch any leakage of Hillary’s super delegates, at least until Tuesday’s vote in PA.
I don’t think this is at all about Clinton fatigue but a fatigue in general that comes from the realization that the Democratic party has been split and the notion is one person or another thinking that the solution to this split is to force Hillary out…but it’s been their thinking since OH and TX on March 4.
Well, the nation might have Tom Daschle fatigue if he was ever as important as he thinks he is. It’s one thing to have limited options in the face of an Rethuglican-held presidency and Congress. It’s another to roll over like a puppy hoping they won’t be mean to you.
The issue isn’t Clinton or Daschle fatigue. It’s not what Obama’s or Clinton’s minions say. What’s maddening is how the media manipulate a story, any story so that it fits into the conservative meme of Dems tearing each other up, how neither candidate is really got their shit together enough to be President. Background is dropped because accuracy and context is not in the interest of forwarding the media agenda.
yep,
I am glad you brought this up when clinton administration official george stephanapolous ran the debate the other night.
