As I recall, didn’t Rev. Al Sharpton, months ago, that if Obama lost the nomination, there would be riots in Denver? This was mentioned back in Jan. ‘08.

Yeah, really, all this talk abuot more votes and more delegates somehow equalling his earning the nomination is nothing more than the delusional rantings of Obamaniacs. Clinton has received more votes from “the right kind of people” and that’s what really matters.

First, it was Rush’s usual inane rambling and thus difficult to break down properly but when he said “…that’s the best damn thing that can happen to this country…” he could just has easily have been referring to “will see to it we don’t elect Democrats” as “…riots in Denver…” and frankly, a first year law student could handle the case and have it thrown out of court in about 10 seconds based on that alone.
Second, what ever happened to free speech? I loathe Limbaugh but will defend his right to speak. Not liking his politics is no reason to grasp at straws and try to bring him - and the First Amendment - down.
And don’t bother arguing about “fire in a movie theater” - Limbaugh was clearly making a political point - the exact discourse the First Amendment was written to protect. Fight Limbaugh with logic and facts – not suppression of free speech.

It’s nonsense to think that McCain would be subject to violence.

But it DOES make sense to be concerned that he’s going to “stroke out” before Jan 20th; the guy is so old that he shouldn’t be buying green bananas, let alone running for president.

“There won’t be riots at our convention,” Limbaugh said of the Republican National Convention. “We don’t riot. We don’t burn our cars. We don’t burn down our houses. We don’t kill our children. We don’t do half the things the American left does.”
He really should have made it clear that “we” don’t do it in our own country.
And Wendy - wasn’t that post the other day referring to McCain setting himself up to be shot to gain a political advantage? Although perhaps publishing such musings could or should be seen as advocating it.

actually, a friend was telling me on election night that there are a variety of lefty groups planning to protest the dem convention and that their motto is a riff on “bringing 68 to 08″ or some such nonsense.

why any protest group would show up in denver rather than minneapolis–unless HRC carries out her plan to steal the nomination at the convention of course–is beyond comprehension.

I hope that this doesn’t end up as some sort of contelpro project–i.e. Republicans disguised as democrats provoking a riot in Denver during the convention. A riot would certainly serve the GOP agenda, and the media’s.
