		<description>i think the entire primary/caucus system needs a complete overhaul. i really don't see why it can't be a popular vote, rather than a race for delegates. or why we have to stretch it out for so long. or why we have to have state-by-state races, or why we have superdelegates at all.

there won't be a serious chance to change it until this clinton-obama thing is long over. right now, any reform proposal will be seen as an effort to game the system in favor of whoever the reform proponent supports. and for a bit after the primary battle is over, even then reform proposals by the loser's supporters will be seen as sour grapes. there's a serious discussion to be had, but we just can't have it right now without it getting infected with obama-clinton madness. maybe we should all mark our calendars for one year from now and start agitating for reform when this stuff is a distant memory.</description>
