Voter turnout is higher than 97%.

You better get that landlord to get the exterminator out there.
Squirrels are territorial & like to return to their birthplace to mate and nest. If they have a litter in your house, then you've pretty much bought the next generation as residents, too, until you eradicate them.
Think mice!!!

Not sure about squirrels but I have found moth balls (or flakes) to be really good at driving out skunks and raccoons. The smell might not be something you can take yourself, so this may not be an option, but you don't need a lot since their sense of smell is much better than ours. Flakes can be shaken into very small openings in walls. The moth flakes evaporate after a while but the residual smell kept us pest free for an entire season. The next year I made a preemptive strike and added moth flakes before anyone moved in.

Squirrels are brazen. We had them in the air space between the roof and ceiling of the garage. My son's room was over the garage and we were in there painting. Five squirrels were sunning themselves on the roof overhang of the garage, right outside my son's window. We banged on the window to get them to skit. The leader lifted up his head as if to say "who the hell are you?" and then went back to sunning himself.

My husband finally trapped the ringleader and took him ten miles away to a forest and let him go. Catching the rest was easy after that.

Are you sure they're squirrels? We've had mice a couple of times and they can be amazingly loud. Mice (and bats) can get in tiny holes, where larger animals require proportionately larger openings. Don't waste your money on those sonic repellents. They don't work for shit.
