Chris...
the DLC is a straw man argument for all who play. At least be intellectually honest about your criticisms.

Steve, I know it's tempting. The spectacle of the supporters of the DLC candidate decrying the DLC like qualities of the non-DLC candidate is enough to make anybody's brain boil.

So, do you feel better about Mayor Nutter now because he supports Clinton? (Just curious)

Tom Knox lost because he publically aligned himself with a manifestly corrupt union leader and a manifestly corrupt council person. Period. Before those poorly-advised alliances, he was leading in the polls despite all of the drawbacks you mention. And taking the promise of transparency and efficiency for granted in Philadelphia is a perilous thing.

Knox endorsed Obama, didn't he? How does that play into our little false dichotomy here?

chris,

just wanted to point out the irony of some people.

this is hardly the place to be making any sort of serious argument these days.

It only counts if a black man does it.

Oh sorry just trying to get into the spirit of the Clinton/McCain coordinated attack machine since we're all supposed to think it's just peachy keen wonderful that Democrats are more than willing to play using Karl Rove's play book (but only if it's for Hillary of course).

steveeboy, I mostly agree with you on a number of things, but pulling out bullshit from Arkansas Project is no good. The absolutely worst thing about this primary has been the willingness of partisans to embrace Freeperdom. The postscript portion of your comment shows an awareness of that phenomenon. There's no need to go there.

SHE DID IT TOO!

Oh, sorry, just trying to get into the spirit of being an Obama supporter, since we're all supposed to be re-educated for the good of the party.

I remember trying my mother's patience with defenses like that, but I was only 10 at the time.
