‘Divided’ Democrats?

Turns out there’s a little bit more to the story that says substantial numbers of Clinton and Obama voters would vote for McCain in the general election.
Once you remove the Republicans and independents who voted in open primaries, the numbers are actually much smaller.

Since the population of “mainstream Democrats” at 10 and 13 % is either the population of Clinton or Obama supporters, wouldn’t that make it 13 or 10% of 50% of the total of the main stream democrats (therefore actually 6.5 to 5%) where the McCain cross over of 10 to 15% is based on 100% of the Republicans?
