Not to be snippy, but I’m actually much more interested in what Elizabeth Edwards thinks, since she’s behind my No. 1 issue - universal healthcare.

Yeah, Sen. Clinton would be much better at health care reform. After all, look how successful her last attempt at it was.

Am I the only one who noticed that Sen. Clinton stole her whole working class ethos from John Edwards?

Expatriate - bzzzzt! - wrong! Clinton was undercut badly by her own party. Dems were in the majority when Bill Clinton got into office. Why didn’t “liberal lions” like Kennedy push to enact legislation that would have saved untold lives in the last 15 years?

Hillary Clinton championed programs like microcredit in AK and NY to help working people lift themselves out of poverty. Of course, many of the programs she’s pushed thru the years have been directed toward women and children, so they don’t seem to count in “progressives’” eyes.

I’ve been thinking for a long time, considering their respective records, that Edwards didn’t so much push Clinton to the left as give her cover to go public with the type of things she’s been working on all along.

Sister of ye- Perhaps the Democratic majority felt locked out by Hillary’s ham-handed process behind closed doors.
Regardless, Hillary returning to the Senate would be in a perfect place to propose her new health care plan. As you know, the executive branch does not legislate, which begs the question; Why hasn’t Hillary introduced a bill to begin the process in the 110th Congress?
