Fortunately, I don’t have to attack the Washington Post this morning - Glenn Greenwald did it for me.

Kathleen Parker’s vile, anti-American — indeed fascist — comments are and will continue to hurt the Washington Post where the Post most cares: market share and profits. The Post cannot produce profits without figuring out how to compete nationally (even internationally) through the Web. The dominant and growing demographic on the Web, though, is not one that seeks to read this filth. Greenwald’s piece — linked by Susie and zillions of others — drives home a brand point: WaPo’s brand is worse than just out of touch. It’s offensive.

The effects are serious. Each time a piece of anti-American, anti-truth, and anti-reason ‘opinion’ like Parker’s gets spread virally, it causes more and more folks to simply conclude: the WaPo is not worth reading.

Meanwhile, competitor web-based news sites that actually report and opine in a way that is not thoroughly offensive get bookmarked.

Kathleen Parker is a loser. She is also part of the WaPo writer’s group. And, featured in the WaPo itself.

Losers — one and all.

Can there be any doubt anymore that the corporate media are serving a fascist agenda? The former ‘fourth estate’ have become a blatant political tool of corporate oligarchs seeking to end democracy. It’s time to treat conservative propaganda machines like Fox, the Post and the Times as the political action groups they are.
