The New Employee

One of my friends was telling me about a new employee who just drove everyone crazy on her first day. She was imperious and obnoxious, and at the end of the day, the owner drew her aside, gave her a check and told her it wasn’t working out.
She was, of course, upset and became quite agitated. Her parting shot: “You can keep your little job, and your landscaping, too!”
Which, for some reason, strikes me as quite funny.

Echoes of “I’ll get you my pretty, and your little dog too?” (Was it a job in landscaping, or at a garden center or nursery?)
I can’t imagine how obnoxious she must have been to be shown the door on the first day. But, good for that boss not to let her get settled in, and for being vigilant about keeping the bullies out.
It’s a fine arts restoration company.
Is landscaping a code word for something?
It is NOW!
…and you can put that in your landscaping and smoke it!
